AI-generated editorial illustration. It represents a family proofreading wedding invitations; it is not documentary photography or a screenshot of the tool.
A wedding invitation can look beautiful and still fail at its main job if a name is misspelled, the date is ambiguous or the venue cannot be found. The safest workflow is to treat the wording as structured information first and decoration second.
This guide uses KuchhBhi's Wedding Card Matter tool to prepare a Hindi or English starting draft, then applies a practical family, printer and WhatsApp review.
What the tool currently provides
The live tool offers five invitation types:
Son's Wedding (बेटे की शादी)
Daughter's Wedding (बेटी की शादी)
Kaka/Baba Ki Ladli
Formal English for WhatsApp
Funny Friends Invite
You enter the bride and groom's names, both sets of parents' names, date, time, venue, inviting family and an optional contact number. The generated text updates in a read-only box and can be copied.
It is a wording helper, not a complete card designer. It does not confirm that the names, time, postal address or map destination are correct. It also does not automatically build a programme for haldi, mehendi, sangeet and reception.
Worked example from the live tool
I checked the public tool on 11 October 2026 with fictional details:
आयु. Priya
(सुपुत्री श्री Suresh एवं श्रीमती Kavita)
विवाह स्थल: Anand Hall, Jaipur
विवाह दिनांक: 18 November 2026
समय: 7:00 PM से
Because the contact field was blank, the final line still contained a bracketed placeholder for the main inviter and mobile number. That is a useful warning: the tool generates from the supplied fields, but a human must remove every unused placeholder before printing or sharing.
This was a hands-on check of one template, not a review of every family custom or regional wording convention.
Build the invitation in three layers
Layer 1: essential facts
Write and verify these before choosing poetry or decoration:
Couple's names, including exact spelling and honorifics
Parents' or hosts' names, if included
Calendar date with month written in full
Start time and whether it is morning or evening
Venue name, locality, city and a useful landmark
Contact person, if guests may need help
Separate date, time and venue for every additional function
Avoid a date such as “11/12/26” because different readers may interpret the day and month differently. “11 December 2026” is clearer.
Layer 2: relationship and tone
Choose wording based on who is sending it.
A formal printed card may use respectful Hindi and family names. A WhatsApp message for colleagues can be shorter. A friends' group may suit a humorous version, but humour should not replace the date, time and venue.
The same wedding can therefore have two legitimate versions:
a complete printer copy for the physical card;
a concise WhatsApp copy with the same verified facts.
Do not change facts while shortening the message.
Layer 3: navigation and response
A useful digital invitation answers two practical questions: “How do I get there?” and “Whom do I contact?”
Google Maps' official help explains that a map, place or directions can be shared as a copied link. Open the exact venue in Maps, use Share, copy the link and test it on another phone before adding it to the message. A map link is more useful than a screenshot because guests can open directions from their own location.
For a printed card, use KuchhBhi's Wedding Venue QR Generator to turn the verified Maps share link into a QR image. Print “Scan for location” nearby, and test the final printed proof—not only the image on your computer.
A printer-ready handoff checklist
Before sending the matter to a designer or printer, create one approved master document. Ask one family member from each side to check the entries that concern their family.
Mark each item as approved:
bride's full name;
groom's full name;
spelling and order of parents' names;
family name and honorifics;
event date and day of the week;
start time and procession time, if different;
venue name, hall/floor and complete location;
city and landmark;
contact number;
programme order;
religious opening or family-specific wording;
language, punctuation and unwanted placeholders.
Then ask the designer for a final PDF proof. Compare it line by line with the approved master. Do not approve from memory.
A concise WhatsApp version
A digital message should be easy to scan on a small screen. A practical structure is:
With the blessings of our families, Rohan and Priya are getting married.
Date: 18 November 2026
Time: 7:00 PM onwards
Venue: Anand Hall, Jaipur
Map: [verified Google Maps link]
We would be delighted to celebrate with you.

WhatsApp supports text formatting such as bold and italic. If you add asterisks around the couple's names or headings, send the message to yourself first and check that the formatting appears as intended. Do not use so much styling that dates and links become difficult to copy.
For Hindi, keep numerals and AM/PM consistent with what the family and guests will understand. If you use “सायं,” do not also write a conflicting English time.
Common errors the generator cannot catch
Correctly spelled, but the wrong person
Autofill cannot know whether “Meena” should be “Meena Devi” or whether an elder's name should be included. Verify against a family-approved spelling source.
A venue name without a city
Many halls share similar names. Include the locality and city, then test the map link.
Multiple events presented as one
If haldi is at home and the wedding is at a hall, give each its own labelled date, time and venue. Never assume guests will infer the difference.
A blank field that leaves template text
The live test showed that an empty contact field can leave a bracketed instruction in the result. Search the final copy for [, ], “Name,” “Date,” “Venue,” and other unfinished placeholders.
A map link that opens the wrong entrance
Open the shared link on a second device. If a large venue has several gates, add the gate or landmark in plain text even when the map pin is correct.
Mixing the printer and WhatsApp versions
A printer needs final copy without Markdown-style formatting marks. WhatsApp can interpret formatting characters. Keep separate approved files so asterisks or raw links do not accidentally appear on the physical card.
Limitations of the current tool
It supplies a fixed set of templates rather than unlimited regional styles.
Hindi and English are supported by the visible templates; it does not currently offer dedicated Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati, Odia or Punjabi templates.
It does not validate calendar dates, phone numbers or addresses.
It does not confirm etiquette, titles, lineage conventions or religious wording for a particular family.
It does not create a finished print layout or automatically insert a map.
The copied result must be proofread after every edit.
These limits do not make the tool unhelpful. They define the right use: generate a clean starting structure, then complete a careful human review.
Frequently asked questions
Should I include both parents' names?
That depends on the family's preference and the invitation style. The tool accepts both sets of parents' names, but you can adapt the copied result after family approval.
How should I write the wedding date?
Write the month in words, such as “18 November 2026,” and include the day of the week if it helps guests. Verify the calendar before printing.
Can I use the same wording for print and WhatsApp?
Keep the facts identical, but shorten the digital version. Add a tested map link to WhatsApp and keep printer instructions out of the message.
What happens if I leave a field blank?
Some templates may retain bracketed placeholder text. Review the complete result and remove or replace every unfinished field.
How do I add a venue map?
Find the correct place in Google Maps, use its official Share option to copy the link, test it, and include it in the digital invitation. For print, generate and test a QR code from that same verified link.
Does the tool translate the invitation into regional languages?
The current visible choices focus on Hindi and English. Do not assume automatic regional-language translation. Ask a fluent family member or professional proofreader to review any translated version.
