All price fields start blank deliberately. A model's cost can depend on its version, token tier, batch mode, cached inputs, tools, images and other charges. Check the provider's billing rules before using the estimate as a budget.
For each scenario: (input tokens × input price per million + output tokens × output price per million) ÷ 1,000,000. The monthly result multiplies that amount by your requested call count. It excludes cached-input rates, reasoning-token distinctions, tool calls, image/audio, volume tiers, taxes and foreign-exchange conversion unless you explicitly incorporate them into your entered prices.
For a monthly usage model, use an average token count measured from your actual requests. If your provider bills cached tokens differently or uses tiered pricing, calculate those components separately rather than treating this estimate as an exact invoice.

What formula is used for the API cost estimate?
For each scenario, multiply input tokens by the input price per million and output tokens by the output price per million, add the results and divide by one million. Multiply the resulting request cost by your monthly number of calls for the monthly estimate.
Can I compare two LLMs without a live pricing feed?
Yes. Enter the official input and output rates separately for Scenario A and Scenario B. The calculator compares your values and does not claim to identify the cheapest model on the market.
Does this include cached prompts, image requests or tool calls?
No. It models ordinary input and output token charges. Account separately for cached rates, tools, multimodal usage, provider volume tiers and tax where they apply.
Does it convert USD to INR?
No. The estimate is in USD and does not use a fixed or live currency exchange rate. Check a current exchange rate separately when you need a rupee budget.
