Create a production-ready video ad brief with hooks, timed shots, voiceover and test variants. Free AI skill for editors and small business marketers.
Guide by KuchhBhi · Updated
Video editors, creators and small business marketers preparing short ads from a real offer and available assets.
Results depend on your model, inputs and tools. This page offers instructions and examples; it does not execute your task.
Replace the bracketed fields with your own information. This brief accompanies the skill instructions.
Use the AI video ad brief skill. Product: [product]. Verified offer: [price and terms]. Audience: [people]. Placement: [placement]. Duration: [seconds]. Assets: [assets]. Language: [language]. Write two angles and a timed edit plan. No invented testimonials, results or urgency. Include a landing-page consistency check.
Illustrative 15-second editing-service ad: 0–3s show an approved raw clip; 3–10s show the actual edit with captions; 10–15s state the service and invite a portfolio visit. Compare a before/after hook with a workflow hook using the same offer.

Ask only for missing information that affects the result: product, verified offer, destination, audience, placement, duration, language, available assets and permissions. If the duration is missing, propose 15 seconds and label the assumption. Do not invent product features, discounts, customer quotes, scarcity, success metrics or sales guarantees.
Compare the supplied destination copy with the proposed ad. Flag conflicting prices, unclear delivery, missing access details or unsupported claims. If the page cannot be read, mark the check incomplete. Do not infer that clicking a checkout button is a purchase.
Write two materially different ideas: for example a demonstration versus a problem/solution explanation. Keep the audience, offer and action fixed so the user can isolate the creative variable. Explain each idea in one sentence. Avoid a pile of interchangeable hooks.
For each angle, create a table with start/end seconds, visual, voiceover, on-screen text, asset source and edit/audio notes. Ensure intervals cover the full requested duration without overlap. Use a reading-speed estimate for voiceover, then require a timed read; the estimate is not a measured recording. Keep the final action legible. Distinguish existing footage, a shoot requirement and a proposed AI-generated shot.
Preserve the product’s appearance and the meaning of any testimonial. Never present generated people as real customers. Label mock results as illustrative. Do not request copyrighted music, a celebrity endorsement or an identifiable person's likeness without appropriate rights. Tell the user when a generator, editor or stock license is needed; do not imply the skill renders video.
Return: creative premise; two timed briefs; asset list; destination consistency findings; one test hypothesis per angle; approval checklist. Ask the user to choose the appropriate campaign metric rather than promising sales. Do not launch ads or change spend unless separately authorized.
Before delivery verify duration totals, readable text, supported claims, a single clear action, factual offer consistency and asset rights. If the user requests five seconds, compress to one idea instead of accelerating a 15-second script.
Yes. Supply product shots, screen recordings or licensed footage. It must not imply that stock footage proves a customer result.
Yes. Request one visual idea, a short line and a readable action. Avoid fitting several claims into an unreadable end card.
